Pan Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon

So I've discovered the foot network channel, and I watch it when I breastfeed, and the other day I was watching a show and she was doing something with brussel sprouts that sounded pretty good, and the next time we got the Bountiful baskets it had brussel sprouts! So I tried this recipe.

Ingredients:
4 strips thick-cut bacon
2 tablespoons butter
1 pound brussels sprouts, halved
1/2 large onion, chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions:
Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate, then roughtly chop. In same pan with bacon fat, melt butter over high heat. Add onions and Brussels Sprouts and cook, stirring occassionally, until sprouts are golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and toss bacon back into pan. Serve immediately.

Just a note, I put the brussel sprouts into a bowl with a little water and microwaved them for a couple minutes and in the pan they only needed to cook for about 6 minutes for me.
